How to Remove Dirt Stains
As your baby becomes more active, playing outdoors will become a favorite playtime activity. With all the fun and games come plenty of opportunities for your little one to get covered in leaves, grass and mud. And, let’s be honest, playing in the dirt might be a world of joy for your little boy or girl, but it’s much less fun for mom and dad when it comes to doing the laundry.
Meet Dirt Stains
Although having an active little one will inevitably come with some dirt stains that can be tough to remove, Dreft can help you clean those dirty clothes.
Dirt stains are so challenging because dirt particles can get ingrained deep between the fabric fibers and often the stain spreads when you try to rub the dirt off. Dreft Stage 2: Active Baby Detergent helps removes grass and dirt stains, so after a fun play-date outdoors you don’t have to dread doing the laundry.

So, here’s how to remove dirt stains without any fuss:
Stain removal steps
Remove Excess:Brush off any excess dirt before rinsing the stained area under cold, running water using a high water pressure.
Pour:Pour Dreft Stage 2: Active Baby Detergent over the whole stain from the cap or bottle.
Pre-treat:Create a soaking solution in a bucket, sink or bowl by adding 1 ounce or 1 ½ tablespoons of Dreft per gallon of warm water. Soak the clothes for up to 30 minutes. Keep the clothes submerged by placing a white towel on top.
Dose:Fill the cap with the correct amount of detergent (following the instructions on the bottle) and pour it into the detergent dispenser of your high-efficiency machine, or directly into the drum if you have a non-HE machine.
Load:Put the stained clothes into the washing machine.
Wash:Follow the instructions on the garment’s care label when choosing the wash cycle and water temperature.
Unload:If the stain is still there, repeat the previous steps. Only dry once the stain is completely gone, as drying will set the stain.
