How to Remove Grape Juice Stains

For babies, discovering new things makes for fun moments of wonder, but finding a favorite new juice flavor might just be one of the best mealtime surprises for your little one. No matter what juice your little one loves the most, one way or another, eventually there are bound to be stains on clothes. Of all the fruit juice stains, grape juice can leave behind one scary mess. If your baby loves grapes and grape juice, then you might already be all too familiar with that pesky grape juice stain on your baby’s clothes.

Grape Stains Explained

Whether it’s just a little stain from a squished grape that’s made its way onto your baby’s bib, or a full-on grape juice spillage catastrophe – removing those red or greenish stains don’t have to wreak havoc with your laundry. That red-colored stain can give the impression that the fabric is ruined forever, but the good news for parents everywhere is that it doesn’t have to be that way.

How to Remove Stains from Clothes

Moms and dads: help is at hand! Dreft Stage 2: Active Baby Detergent helps remove the grape juice stain, while also helping to handle a variety of other mealtime stains that your little one might present you with. Dreft Stage 2: Active Baby Detergent can help remove 99% of baby food stains on clothes (which is part of why it’s recommended by Pampers), and it can leave your baby’s clothes smelling less like grapes and more like, well, a baby!

Plus, Dreft Stage 2: Active Baby Detergent is specially made for active babies, so it can help remove tough stains from the fabrics that swaddle your baby, while still being gentle on your baby’s skin.

So, if you’re faced with a grape juice disaster, these easy-to-follow steps will help you remove tough stains without any fuss.

Stain removal steps

    • Remove Excess:

Rinse the stain under cold, running water using a high water pressure to help with stain removal.

    • Pour:

Pour Dreft Stage 2: Active Baby Detergent from the cap or bottle onto the stain, covering it completely.

    Pour
    • Pre-treat:

Add 1 ounce or 1 ½ tablespoons of Dreft per gallon of warm water to create a soaking solution. You can use a bucket, sink or bowl for this step. Allow clothes to soak for 30 minutes, keeping the items submerged by weighing them down with a white towel.
    Pre-treat
    • Dose:

Use the correct amount of detergent by following the instructions on the packet and measuring the dose in the cap. If you have a high-efficiency machine, pour it into the detergent dispenser, and if you have a non-HE machine, pour the detergent directly into the drum.
    Dose
    • Load:

Load the clothes into the washer.
    Load
    • Wash:

Follow the instructions on the garment’s care label when selecting the wash cycle.
    Wash
    • Unload:

If the stain remains, then repeat these steps before drying, as drying will set the stain.
    Unload

And so, with Dreft and these simple steps, you’ll have clean, fresh clothes without a grape juice stain in sight, because you now know exactly how to help remove grape juice stains! Let your child enjoy grape juice and other dangerous delights, like mashed peas and chocolate pudding, without worrying about the cleanup.

And even if your little one gets into some outdoor mischief with some messy results, Dreft can also take care of dirt stains and grass stains with ease. Dreft is a great detergent for active babies, because it’s specially formulated in a way that can handle the kinds of messes that adventurous babies get into.
